Different default search engines for address bar and search bar E.G. Address Bar (Bing Search Engine) Search Bar (YouTube Search Engine)
I couldn't find the suggestion box so I'm posting here. I think it would be a good idea to put another option under "Default Search Engine Choose the default search engine to use in the address bar and search bar" to have the option of making the default search engine for the search bar different from the default search engine for the address bar. As of right now you have two search bars that use the same search engine by default and waiting for the drop down to appear to change the search engine for the search bar is a pain in the ass.

Sorry, I am unaware of the aggregated Feedback which is collected via that qsurvey page. I used to see all the Feedback listed in the order that it was submitted, but iirc that page was removed from user view or eliminated.
As far as the chance of your suggestion going anywhere, IMO - little to none.
Mozilla purposely combined the Default Search engine to include both the URL bar and the Search bar back in Firefox 34.0.5 (Dec 1, 2014) when the internal search package was rewritten, and with the recent changes that involve the Search bar being hidden by default, yet available to those users (like me) who prefer separate "bars" I just can't see Mozilla going back to separation of the Default Search engine from the "user selected" Search bar search engine as it had been from the beginning of Firefox in 2002 up until Firefox 34.0.5.
Plus with my observations of how Mozilla works or does things over the last 16 years, my feeling is that the separate Search bar may not even be around for much longer. That would be counter to what I see happening with Firefox especially in recent years.
Best to look for an extension to do what you want to see if one exists, but "I wouldn't hold my breath" one like that exists.

Suggestions should be submitted as Feedback here: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/FirefoxInput/
There are Mozilla staff people who collect suggestions for improving Firefox that are submitted as Feedback.
This forum is "staffed" almost exclusively by other Firefox users who contribute their time here to help other Firefox users. Mozilla staff rarely visit this forum, and those visits typically don't involve collecting suggestions.
Danke schön. How do i check the status of said "suggestion"?
It will turn up in a Release (future version) or it will not turn up in a Release.
