Images from twimg.com will not load
hi
wonder why wont images from pbs.twimg.com load up at all? (when they are embedded on another site)
i have tried everything from here also, but it is still not working... :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-problems-images-not-show https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1174098
i have adblock and noscript, but those have a separate whitelist, and every other hostname is working just fine...
NB! when i select "View image", then the image loads up perfectly fine on the new image page.
ff 64.0 (win7 64bit)
(the same problem was with all of the previous versions also, atleast up to 54 or what i had during the last issue)

Sure, it won't work. The site is DOWN right now. No site, no images.

well, you are just ignoring half of the topic... and how can it be down if here is a picture that loads up perfectly fine: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DxTx_NpWwAAFs-3.jpg
the problem is that Firefox is not displaying this domain's (embedded) pictures correctly for some reason. and this has been going on for years already.
and now i just tried this "view image info" and "block images from pbs...", and this actually removed the whole white image area completely. but why is it only displaying images as white areas not the actual pictures...

I don't know. When I checked your image link yesterday, I got a 'Try Again' from FF. Today, www.IsItDownRightNow.com shows it's down, but I saw your image today vs yesterday. So, is it a regional outage? A come-n-go thing?
Gimme a page link so I can check it.

From the www.IsItDownRightNow.com site:
We have tried pinging PBS website using our server and the website returned the above results. If PBS.twimg.com is down for us too, there is nothing you can do except wait.
Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...
Can't Access PBS - Troubleshooting Instructions
If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:
Browser Related Problems
Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favorite browser.
Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :
Fix DNS Problems
A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phone book for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.
Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit [ENTER]).
Here's the Windows-7 OS details.
If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.
