When I click on the outgoing server, I keep getting this message that says "ACCOUNT WIZARD An account with this name already exists. Please use a different account name" and the outgoing server page never comes up, so that I can check the settings.

try sending mail without the dot on the end of the email address. it is invalid and it what the message is telling you. The address is not a valid address.

just change the name of the only account you have then. Enter the account manager and you will get the error message. Click Ok and the cursor will be in the place it needs to be to change the name. type a 1 and click ok.

BTW that is two problems not one, they are not even related. I mention it just to be sure that you understand correcting the address will not fix the naming issue.

When you click ok to that the cursor is blinking in an account name. Add a 1 to it and get on with what you are doing. Are you another who is removing and adding accounts to try and fix an problem? It rarely works.

That's just it, I am not trying to change account names, it's just that that is the message that comes up regardless of what I click on. All I wanted to do was check the outgoing server details and guess what that came up on the account info page so I changed it from google default to gmail, and that doesn't work and now that doesn't come up for me to change it back to what it was, not that that was working.

I didn't ask you if your were trying to change account names. I told you to change it. That is two very different things.

You already have duplicate account names. I have no idea how so change it so you can move on already. You will probably find you have been using the add account wizard to try and fix something so now you have a duplicate, because it adds not edits. The next issue will probably working out which to delete. But you will be doing nothing in there until you remove the duplication.

Thanks for the reply, but I only have one email account as far as I know. I open up the account settings and from the list on the left, the account wizard message is all I keep getting each time I put the curser on each line and click. I don't get the change to type anything in anywhere. I tried sending another email and I got this error message, which I don't know what it means
