How to get mic permissions pop up to show up?
So I somehow broke mic permissions in discord on firefox. I can not get it to show the pop up to let me allow the mic, whenever I try to unmute I get this https://i.imgur.com/TkFKwpj.png (refreshing does nothing)but it never pops up and doesn't list mic permissions, only autoplay sound when I click on the lock icon. In permission settings under microphone discord isn't listed. I also know it isn't a discord thing because it works fine in the app, just not within firefox. Tried clearing cookies/site data for discord too, nothing seems to make the pop up appear. Also tried updating firefox, rebooting pc, nothing seems to do it.
Really at a loss of what to do to get it working.

Hello,
There could be a couple of issues that could be at play here, can you please provide some additional information so that we can troubleshoot further.
- Does your microphone work with other websites?
- Has this ever worked in Firefox?
- Is your microphone listed as an input deice in about:support (see below for how to get this information).
Can you also please follow the procedure below to provide troubleshooting information.
To find the correct solution to your problem, we need some more non-personal information from you. Please do the following:
- Use ONE of these methods to open the Firefox Troubleshooting Information page:
- Click the menu button The image "fx57menu" does not exist., click on Help and select Troubleshooting Information.
- Type about:support into the Firefox address bar and press the enter key.
- At the top of the Troubleshooting Information page that comes up, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.
- Now, go back to your forum post, right-click in the reply box and select Paste from the context menu (or else click inside the reply box and press the Ctrl+V keys) to paste the information you copied into the forum post.
- Due to a forum reply character limit, only part of the data may be pasted. You can use your mouse to select the missing text from the about:support page, right-click on the page to copy it and then right-click in the forum reply box to paste it into a new reply.
Note: The Troubleshooting Information page does not contain personal data, except for the full path to your profile folder. When you use one of the "Copy to clipboard" buttons, the profile path is not copied. Use other tools and methods at your own risk.
If you need further information about the Troubleshooting information page, please read the article Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, I've tested a couple other sites and the mic works fine, and it's listed as a input device there(second to last device listed).

Yea tried setting it to enabled there and it still won't unmute, still shows the same thing telling me about the pop up that won't appear.
Can you please go to the Voice & Video Settings in Discord and see if the Permission Box shows up? Can you also see if Discord is showing your input device? It will show Default if it can't detect. Here's a screenshot of what it should look like: https://imgur.com/a/BjRkiqQ.
Also, just as a troubleshooting step to see if it is an issue with asking permissions, can you please try the following and see if it works:
- Type "about:config" into the address bar.
- Click "I accept the risk!"
- In the search bar type, "permissions.default.microphone".
- Change the permission to "1".
After this is done, go back to Discord and see if it works when you unmute. Make sure you change this back, as this is a global setting and not just limited to Firefox.
