You do not need to log into Firefox to use it. Are you talking about the Master Password? Or logging into websites?

When I login into my firefox account and sync I can see the websites I've previously saved and use them. When I shut my macbook down and then restart I have to login back into firefox each time, syns again and then enter passwords for all my saved websites again. This doesn't happen on my windows desktop just on my macbook.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off.

Tried that earlier but still firefox asked me to log back in. Could it be a macbook issue?

Did you install Firefox properly ?

Make sure Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox Disk Image file and drag the Firefox application to the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the Disk Image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.

I've followed all the advice above and rechecked the correc t boxes are checked and all are correct. On my macbook air if I just put the lid down when finished all bookmarks etc on firefox are stilkl there when I open and all passwrods saved. If I either log out of my user account (I share the macbook with my wife) or shut the macbook down when I return to my user account and open firefox the bookmarks are there but I've been signed out of them all including the firefox account.
