Primary email address changed, sync doesn't work
I created my Firefox account with an old email address that is no longer accessible and will never be accessible again. I added a secondary email address long ago and made it primary. My account is logged in on my phone and my old laptop, both need repair, laptop data is probably gone. I logged in on my new laptop and a tablet, but had to change the password. Now Firefox does not know my logins and passwords, history, settings and preferences, bookmarks. It seems as if I have created a new account. How can I regain access to my old data?

If you change the password of the Firefox account you use for Sync then this causes all data on the Sync server to get wiped and can't be recovered. This is because your data is encrypted locally suing a key derived from the password before it is uploaded and only the original password can decrypt this data, so I'm afraid that you can no longer retrieve if from the Sync server.

Thank you very much cor-el. I know I can manually copy everything from Firefox on my phone once it's fixed, but is there a way to do this automatically? Like to export everything from the app? What if I change the password again and revert to the old one then sync on my phone, would that work?
