Can't find Address books after upgrade to TB 78.5, copied from 68.4.1 PC

I've got my email functioning in TB 78.5, apart from being able to use my address books, on my new (to me) laptop on which I've installed Windows 7 (at my own risk!). The old laptop used TB 68.4.1 (32-bit) and I copied the profile folder onto a usb stick to transfer across to my new one, using Profile Manager on the new laptop.

I've spent several hours trying to work out how to get my old address books, but have got nowhere really, apart from realising that initially the original new version of TB caused similar problems, which presumably have now been ironed out, and that current solutions to my problem appear to be lacking.

My old address books uses .mab files, which I was given to understand were automatically converted by TB 78, but this appears not to have been the case. I have found just one abook.sqlite file, but nothing relating to my other ones (up to 6)

Can anyone offer me guidance on how to recover my other address books, please, in a bid to save my sanity?

Thanks.

if the mab/mork based TB Address-Book has any complex/custom fields/categories,etc then v78 series TB cannot convert it into sqlite format successfully , but with newer versions its becoming better in that conversion process, i guess.

see if any tools from here is useful or not: Convert mab based Address-Book into other format.

if that does not help or you cannot do/apply any.

then i suggest to downgrade to previous verison TB first & use older TB-profile , then manually convert the Address-Book into simpler addess-book , or EXPORT into CSV,txt, etc file, which you can later import into v78 series.

please see below linked pages+info, try to understand steps, & apply what is useful for your case.
