I want to start using the Bookmarks Menu. However, when I open it and mouse over the folder I want to look in, the list of bookmarks that appears has the oldest bookmarks on the top. I want the newest bookmarks on top. How can I do that?

Hello, I am GLoaFy.

I haven't found the solution of sorting bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar. But there is an alternative way to solve your problem. Here's my suggestion:

- Open the Library (Menu - Library - Bookmarks - Show all bookmarks) - Right click the sorting bar and select Added, then you can find a Added box enabled on the sorting bar. - Enter a bookmark folder, then simply click the Added box up on the bar, now your bookmarks shall sorted by their added time.

This is an disposable action, which has no effect on the toolbar menu. It means that you must act like that every time when you want to have the newest bookmarks on top.

Anyway, this is the best solution I have found, hope it would be of help.

Since there isn't a built-in feature for exactly what you want to do, you could consider using an add-on that sorts the current bookmarks by date, and adds new ones always at the top of the folder menu. I haven't tested these in years, but the reviews still look good:
