Since a week I have been following a course consisting of videos. Today, May 4, 2021, around 12:00 CET, Firefox will no longer show the videos. After disabling the Ghostery add-on, I could continue with the course. So for the moment I am no longer using the add-on.

You must always remember that content blocking extensions can block essentially content just like builtin Firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection, so you need to check what is blocked and if necessary disable the extension on websites that aren't working properly. In case of ETP you can click the shield in the location bar and extensions have a toolbar button that you can click for more information about what is blocked.

Thanks, I have disabled the Ghostery add-on on this particularly website and that works. What wonders me is why Ghostery started to block the content now where it didn't block the same content a couple of hours ago. You say that the website isn't working properly, but could it be that the add-on stopped working properly this afternoon?
