Why does TB keep asking me what to do with attached files when I've checked the "Do this automatically from now on" box?

I have TB 91.1.2 on Windows 10 64-bit.

When I open an email with an attachment, and click on the attachment, TB always pops up a window asking me what to do with the file. Even if I have previously opened this type of file, and have chosen an application, and checked the box that says "Do this automatically for files like this from now on", it still asks me every time.

It does this for every file type except .pdf, which are opened in TB. For all other file types, I get the pop-up every time, even if I've previously checked the box.

What's the point of the checkbox if it ignores it? Is there a way to get it to open files without asking? I'm sure it never used to do this.

Thanks

@sfhowes Wow, that's an old bug. I won't hold my breath about it being fixed then!

Thanks
