Firefox version: 98.0.2 (64-bit) OS Version: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22000 Build 22000

As I go about my day to day use of the app, I will find that the Downloads list box will randomly open and close itself. This happens several times over a couple hours. If there are no recently downloaded items, then instead of the box opening, it will just add the button and remove it swiftly.

Is this a known issue? Is there a way to fix it? It is very distracting and really makes one paranoid.

I have seen that reported several times. You could try changing the following preference in about:config to false. browser.download.alwaysOpenPanel

I'll switch that and operate as normal for the next few days, see if that solves the issue without impacting other performance.

Cheers.
