I was using firefox sync across multiple devices, but at some point in the past few months, i got locked out on one device due to too many wrong tries (i THINK. something went wrong anyway), and now, i am logged on on only 1 computer, and none of my passwords (even the one currently saved in my password manager, 1password) work when trying to log into other devices. using the QR scan from firefox/pair page on my ph doesn't work either. so, now i'm afraid of getting logged out from my main computer and then losing access to years worth of bookmarks & folders & plug-ins etc. unfortunately, when i went to try & add a back up email for my account, it was too late...it kept asking me to log in to do so, and my password isn't recognized anymore (or i maybe inadvertently changed w/ a typo inserted?). i was thinking about just trying to download all my bookmarks, deleting my current account, and creating a new one...but then i need the log in to delete the account. i want to keep the same email for the user name, since it's my main email.

i am at a loss as to how i can get around this impasse.

At this point your locked out of the main login since your password fails and the reset email can no longer change it. The main computer will contain all the data it's the sync devices that will loose the connections. So your going to change the main computer Firefox account password to force those others to logout and you will have to reconnect one at time to insure it's working again. That email is login email it has nothing else to do with Firefox beyond the login and it's used for password reset should you need to change the password also for possible login email change as well. But his requires the previous email can be accessed to get the verification to change to different email login. What you need to do is back your data/profile to insure nothing gets lost when changing the password.
