Hello everyone. I ask for help. I have more than 100 accounts in the client. I have set the "receive emails when the program starts" setting. All accounts are from the same mail server. When the Thunderbird client starts receiving mail from all accounts, an error occurs when receiving mail. This is because there are too many requests per second per mail server. Tell me which setting is responsible for the delay in receiving mail BETWEEN ACCOUNTS? Or "WAIT FOR ONE ACCOUNT TO RECEIVE MAIL, AND START RECEIVING MAIL FROM ANOTHER ACCOUNT." Via about:config. Thank you.

There is no user controlled "delay between accounts". If you are overloading the server at startup, you'll either need to:

  • start Thunderbird less frequently
  • adjust settings/performance at the server
  • adjust some of the accounts in Thunderbird to not check on startup.
  • Reduce the size of your Inbox folders
  • Reduce overhead of getting new mail (fewer message filters, use address book whitelist for spam filtering, etc)
  • see if you have a performance issue with Thunderbird https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems
