firefox 116.0.1 peacock tv error message --system configuration not supported
This is a recent problem. I used to watch Peacock on Firefox with my ad blocking extension. Now I cannot watch Peacock videos. The page My Stuff displays but once I click on a program or episode to watch, I get the error screen. (see words below) Even with no ad blocker, I get as far as an ad beginning, and then the error. I have already refreshed my browser. This did not help. I can watch Peacock on Edge. (PC windows 10)
ERROR MESSAGE: Something went wrong. Sorry, your system configuration is not compatible with Peacock. Please check the supported devices in our Help Center (6007).

Your version is too old and you should update to the latest Firefox version as well. Also being out dated Firefox could also be the reason you can't access the site as well.
I didn't realize that. I see it's now version 132. Thanks for the wake up. Well, I do not like the latest thing :) I thought my browser had updated even tho I had put in tweaks for it not to do that. **Something sure changed in the last week.** I gave up on everything to try. I downloaded ESR 128. No freezes on youtube. Peacock works. Back to normal. :)
Before you update make sure your browser is stable before updating. I always recommend going to the ftp site and downloading the right version and language version you use to insure you get the right version and 32 or 64 bit version as well to match your OS version.

I always recommend going to the ftp site https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
For current versions the proper place is https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ as you can choose the OS and 64-bit or 32-bit version (for Windows and Linux as macOS is only 64-bit) for desktop Firefox.
Also that is not the FTP site as that used to be with ftp:// as in ftp://ftp.mozilla.org before Mozilla depreciated the FTP protocol August 5th, 2015. Mozilla prefers we also use https://archive.mozilla.org over https://ftp.mozilla.org

You can check for issues with Enhanced Tracking Protection and Total Cookie Protection. Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content.
- click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection
You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages like about blocked content.
