history is not being saved

The drop down menu shows about 12 visited sites, however, when I want to see all previous history it shows the date with the clock icon and no stored sites underneath. I fixed a bookmarks similar issue following instructions from this site, but can't find anything specifically for history. Any suggestions?

Hi Maiv,

To see all your history make sure your "Remember history" option is enabled. To enable it go to Tools|Options|Privacy and click on the drop down box and select Remember History.

Hi Moses I don't have that option in Tools, I checked in preferences and its set to save history..but its not.

* Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the Browsing History.
* Make sure that the History is set to at least 1 day: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember visited pages for at least"
* Make sure that you do not start Firefox in Private Browsing mode (Tools > Stop Private Browsing is grayed, see Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history)
* To see History and Cookie settings in Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"

I have the same problem, my history is being deleted every time I close Firefox. I'm using custom settings for history. Clear history when Firefox closes is NOT ticked.
