I go to watch a movie on duckload.com and firefox tells me (in the information bar at the top) that "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page".

I click the "Install Missing Plugins" button, Firefox scans for the plugin, firefox then tells me that i need to install the DivX Webplayer plugin. I make sure the box is crossed and click the next button. This takes me to the terms and conditions and i agree.

Firefox downloads and installs the plugin and tells me that i need to restart firefox for the plugin(s) to work.

I do this and follow all of the on-screen steps to install the divx webplayer and restart firefox again when it is completed.

Yet when i return duckload.com it still says the divx webplayer plugin is missing. This is not just for duckload.com it happens on other sites aswell.

Thankyou

I would like to add that I am running 64-Bit (Not 32-Bit) Windows 7 build 7600.

  • NB - For other novice users you can determine what operating system and build number you are running by:
- Clicking the Windows "Start" Orb
- Typing "WinVer" into the search box
- Clicking "WinVer" In the Programs List

Relevant information should be displayed in the "About Windows" window.

  • NB - Also you can determine what Bit Version of Windows 7 you are running by:
- Clicking the Windows "Start" Orb
- Typing "System" into the search box
- Clicking "System" In the Control Panel List

Relevant information should be displayed under Sysyem/System Type

I have provided a screenshot of the plugin problem
