I'm running Win XP SP3 with all current patches applied. The only changes I have made recently are to change my privacy settings to clear all history when I close Firefox.I also downloaded Advanced SystemCare recently. I tried the proceedure to rename mimetypes.rdf in the profile folder, but that didn't help.

The problem seems to be fixed.I did a 'save image as' from 2 different sites and the default was the My Pictures' folder. How did you fix it,and do you know what caused the change? I really appreciate your help.

I ran Advanced SystemCare, and the original problem reappeared. It must be something I have set in the options for ASC,but I can't figure out which one. Can you tell me what you did to fix this for me on the 14th,so I can change it back and get rid of ASC?
