Using FireFox 3.6.13. I am doing some web development and testing thru IIS. Localhost points to an html page that is a frameset containing 3 vertical frames. The frames on the left and right ends display correctly, the center frame is gibberish. The page displays correctly using IE8, Chrome or Opera.

Further investigation reveals that the problem appears to have to do with the way the html file is encoded on disk. I am working on pinning down exactly what, in the encoding, is causing the problem. When I have that documented, as well as another possible "undocumented feature" I found, I will forward all info to you. This is the kind of problem I like as I am a developer with over 30 years experience including a stint as QA lead for a development group at AT&T which won the MBNQA for, among other things, re-engineering the platform used by the long distance operators. Stay tuned ...
