Repeat. Just got a 'Mozilla' security alert on the PC, and something started a system scan.. IS THIS A TROJAN ATTACK ? I forced a power down and did system restore before coming here. I will run Ccleaner when I leave this site. I have NEVER seen any Mozilla alert or mention of any system scan from Firefox. I have seen Trojan Hijacks, and deal with friends PC's for them, this looked similar.

No, Firefox does not have built-in anti-virus feature, so your description can be correct. You may wish to try this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/wot-safe-browsing-tool/

Thank You for confirming my suspicions on this. As I don't run any Anti-Virus (no paranoia) It is not a system problem, and I learned the hard way about 3 years ago. The almost sure cure is a FORCED POWER DOWN, and never do any clicks while these fake alerts are active. I am an Admin on a discussion forum so have some idea about PC controls. NEVER have had a real virus in any PC since going online in 1978 with a PET.
FireFox rocks..
