I'm running Firefox 9.0.1 and can't comment on any Yahoo News! articles. It's all greyed out.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Hi,

After signing into Yahoo, please try a Ctrl + F5 refresh. This helps to bring in the page contents afresh.

I fixed this in AVG Do Not Track. Open it's dialog box. If it's set to block Facebook Open Button, remove that block. Cleared my system right up. I also found it helpful to disable the notify when a new tracker is identified option. If Do Not Block isn't blocking everything, it will annoy you to death by popping up every time you open a new window.
