Make Find-on-page reposition at bottom of window again in v.15.0.1
In previous versions of Firefox, Find-on-page (Ctrl-F) would reposition the page to place the found text at the bottom of the window.
With version 15, Firefox positions the found text in the middle of the window.
How can I make Firefox v15 go back to the old system and position the found text at the bottom of the window?

Which Firefox version did you previously use?
The search result is now centered in the page as the result of Bug 171237.
- bug 171237 - Find in Page: highlighted result should be at the middle of the page (vertically centered) instead of last line/bottom of page
(please do not comment in bug reports)

Hi ideato,
Thank you for your reply. I haven't tried to edit the browser.xul file. It seems the change has come about in response to bug report 171237. It looks as though I'll have to work around the change.
Many thanks again.
Hi cor-el,
Thank you for the information. I let Firefox update automatically and so I must have been on the previous release version before 15.0.1.
It seems my Ctrl-F feature was someone else's Ctrl-F bug. I'll just have to live with the change as I don't expect Firefox will allow the positioning to be user-specifiable any time soon.
If anyone's interested in why positioning at the bottom of the window is useful, my application is here: http://www.graphicinvestor.com/Funds/Charts/giCharts.htm
This displays a number of charts with a title line below each one. By finding "[" in the title it was possible to just fit one chart in the window with the title at the bottom of the window - and then step through the charts. Now the charts are half-hidden.
However, I have a workaround because I also have a checkbox on each title line. Therefore I can still tab from one checkbox to the next. It turns out that tabbing to the next checkbox does position the checkbox's line at the bottom of the window.
Let's just hope no-one now sees tabbing behaviour as a bug.
Many thanks again.
