It is difficult to print pdf files in Firefox.
When viewing a pdf document in the Adobe plugin the Firefox print function does not work. I've seen postings which explain that this function is disabled when Adobe is being used. This begs the question of how IE is able to accomplish this.
I've also seen advice about how to find an Adobe print function. None of them worked for me, but I did find that if I right click from anywhere within the pdf document I get an option to print. Maybe this will be useful for others experiencing the same problem.
It would be good if Firefox's print function would trigger the Adobe print function. This seems to be what happens in IE.

Two other non-obvious methods:
- If you move the mouse pointer over the PDF toward the bottom of the window, you usually will get a floating toolbar with buttons to save, print, jump to a particular page, and change the zoom.
- If you press the Esc key, the "classic" Adobe Reader toolbar may appear.
I'm not sure why Firefox can't print plugin content when the plugin uses the full tab, but I don't know whether it's a high priority to change it.
Thank you both for your tips. I was having the same problem, and now problem solved!
