I like to keep cookies turned off and stay in Privacy Mode. When I know a site needs cookies I click "accept cookies" in Preferences/Privacy. In the past when I was finished using the site I'd open the "show cookies" sub-menu and hit "remove all cookies". They used to show there. Now they never do, so I never know if they are removed. (As I understand it in Privacy Mode they should all be removed upon leaving Firefox). I know that I am enabling cookies when I take these steps as if i don't sites that require cookies will keep asking me to enable them. Best I can figure some little glitch has come up in Firefox and just wanted to report this to you. From my perspective I'd hate to think that these cookies are somehow staying on my computer.

All the best.

The current Firefox release aren't showing cookies in the Cookie Manager if you are in Private Browsing mode.
In Private Browsing mode all cookies are session cookies that only last for the current session or Private Browsing mode window and the devs have decided not to show cookies in the Cookie Manager in this case.
Exceptions that are set should still have effect.
So unfortunately if you choose to be in Private Browsing mode then you won't be able to inspect the cookies from a Private Browsing mode window.

Thanks very much for the reply. Now I have no worries that somehow cookies remain on my system. (Got to do everything to protect out privacy these days.)

I have a slightly different but related problem. I am not in the private browsing mode but my cookies are displayed as small triangles which will expand when I click them. What do I have to do to show all of them already expanded? Thanks. Jim B.

Try to resize that window (drag the corner or try the system menu via Alt+Space) or at least the column with those cookies to make it wider.

Thanks Cor-el. resizing the column did the trick!
