Wundermap doesn't show legends and tools on my Mozilla but does on Explorer?

more options

When I load Wundermap from Weather Underground in my Mozilla I can't find the legends or tools menu windows. Works fine if I use internet Explorer, everything is there in IE? The old Wundermap classic loads fine but is no longer supporter. Of course the Wundermap folks don't have a link where you can ask them a question.....

Is this still a problem for you? Nothing really sticks out at me as a specific issue on that page, so here are some standard things to try.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Try the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

By the way, this is what I see this evening, also on Windows 7 64-bit. One difference I see between our configurations is that I have disabled hardware acceleration of graphics to work around graphics card drive incompatibilities. Safe Mode will do that automatically, so if you get a good display in Safe Mode, you could try disabling it in the Options before returning to regular mode.

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

This will take effect after you exit and restart Firefox.

Edit: image size too large. Will shrink and repost.
