Password manager uses javascript to locate user id and password fields on login pages. Worked with Firefox 17, but no longer works.

Error message is:

TypeError: Argument 1 of EventTarget.dispatchEvent does not implement interface Event.

Anyone know if there is a solution to this?

Seadog69, What password manager are you using? That error suggests that the javascript event is returning a null or empty string according to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../EventTarget.dispatchEvent

Guigs2, thank you for the information. To answer your question, I am using SafeWallet as my password manager. Nothing to do with Selenium.

Hey Seadog69- it also looks like it has not been updated in a while. https://www.facebook.com/getsafewallet?v=wall&viewas=0&filter... It looks to be open source though. Unfortunately since the only add on support is asking the developer it may be the way that interface is calling the event.

Is there an even that is missing that is not working before, that can narrow down where the exception is being called in the code?

Since the code is a "black box" to me, I can't tell if there is an event that might help narrow down the problem.

It also appears that the company, SBSH, is essentially defunct. Several folks complaining that they cannot contact SBSH going back to at least June 2013.
