I don't understand, I seem to be the only one having this issue. I'm using Firefox on Android, and when I have multiple passwords stored for one website, the password does not automatically fill. Things work fine when I have only one password for that website: the website loads and the password automatically appears along with the username. When you have multiple passwords stored for one domain name, no password is filled but you can choose between all the saved usernames. When I choose a username, the password isn't filled.

Expected behavior: I choose one username to log in with, the password appears on its own. Actual behavior: I choose a username to log in with, but the saved password doesn't automatically fill, as if I just chose a username from a list of saved form data.

Steps to reproduce: - Use Firefox for Android. - Save 2 different usernames on a website like for example google.com. - Load the website. - Choose one of the 2 saved logins. -> Password will not appear.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a bug? I didn't find anything online, which is why I'm trying to find out here...

I have two theories:

  1. if you are using a master password and the new sync, the passwords will not sync.
  2. What preferences on mobile do you have in Settings > Privacy > "user master password" and "remember password", and what preferences on Desktop: Tools menu > Options > Security > "Remember passwords for sites"

Can you try these steps https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../976537#answer-497999

There are a few add ons that manage passwords in the meantime.

However with the steps to reproduce above, I could not test this on a non google account. If you can reproduce this with another login, do you have an example?

In the synced passwords on mobile, the saved passwords will auto complete. Google.com you have to go to accounts.google.com to select which account.

In Settings > Remember passwords is selected will remember on the device. With the saved passwords, from the menu you can manage the passwords.

Well now, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And that affects all websites equally. I have a server with owncloud on it and the same thing happens. It seems that other non "saved login" usernames are proposed. But no password appears, regardless of whether username should have a password linked to it or not. On a desktop browser, when you have multiple logins saved, the browser doesn't fill anything on page load. When you click a login, the two fields fill. But having tested again on the mobile browser, it seems that it all is very buggy. Often, choosing a login doesn't fill the password field. My phone is new, and I remember it doing it on the former one. I reinstalled Firefox on my old phone, and as soon as I save two passwords for one website, the password field isn't filled anymore whenever I choose one of the two logins I have saved.

1. That's what I saw when I upgraded Sync. So I disabled the Master Password on my desktop browser. I disabled it on the mobile browser and re-enabled it after the passwords synced. But now, I disabled the Master Password again on to see if it would work.

The steps did not work.

Although now I have the passwords automatically filled. It worked on every try I performed... I don't know if disabling the Master Password has something to do with it. I don't understand what actually happened to me. But I'm not reassured the bug won't come back. Bu for now, I'll mark this as solved. I'll come back if something goes wrong again. I hope this thread can help someone in need in the future. And thank you for your attention! ;)

Ah, leonlaindelysid, the masterpassword will prevent passwords from syncing between devices at the moment.

Dear Administrator , Can I ask about Saved passwords .. Well I have save multiple accounts/passwords ,, password is filled correctly, but the username or emails wont show ,, I want that all my username will appear like an option so that I can choose what will i use . . but what happen is , I still type the username/email and its annoying me ..

Is there a solution that will make my usernames appear as an option ? Without typing it anymore . . Im using Firefox for Android .
