Hmm, I'm not sure they will be on the att server. But maybe you have looked in your webmail portal at the att site and have seen them there?

I'm thinking that this is a POP-connected account. Try deleting the popstate.dat file in the relevant folder in your Thunderbird profile. This file tracks which messages you have read, and deleting it makes Thunderbird treat all available messages as unread,

However, the default behaviour for a POP-connected account is to download messages to the client and then delete the copy on the server, which is why I'm not too confident you will find them on the server.
