When ever link any link on a web page many popups are opening. I don't get popups or adds when I use chrome or IE. Really frustrated with Firefox.
Fire fox current version very frustrating and allows losts of ads and popups. When ever I click on any link from a web page ( any web page) i get a pop ups from ads like jabong, etc. I use the url of the same web page in chrome or IE I do not get such popups. It also crashes often.
The only way to get rid of this is to get use to Chrome or some other browser.

I don't like installing add-ons as they greately increase the CPU use, but I have two that I consider essential and one of them is Addblock Edge 2.5.5 which is as effecient as all others and much lighter. It will take care of all pop-ups and adds.
If your problem is the pop-ups not the fasct that you see adds try the following options: Preferences - tabs: tick the following: open new windows in a new tab instead Preferences - content: tick the following: block pop-up windows
vksh89, What Extensions do you have installed as there are a few that can insert ad links on pages for example.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.
