When ever i keep any download in my firefox 40.0.3 it completes the whole download but hands at last 1sec and will never complete. the only way to get out is forcefully get out of the firefox and the cancelling the download immediately after restart. please help me over this issue.

If it stops in the last second then that is the state where Firefox invokes your Anti-Virus software to scan the file. It is possible that your Anti-Virus software has a problem with scanning the file.

Also make sure that you only have one AV program that scans files.

You can check the default AV program in Windows Control Panel > System and Security.
