I'm using an app called Dial Engine Pro, it can hyperlink a phone number an dial it from a browser. Problem is the hyperlinked phone numbers are going to some kind of google app, maybe Google Hangouts from the looks of it. How do I switch off Google hangouts in FF?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
