Hi,

I noticed a couple weeks ago that Firefox had updated on my computer. Ever since the update, Firefox has crashed very often while I was trying to use Google Maps. Often times, I only have a minute or so before the crash happens, and this happens every time I attempt to use Google Maps. It's more of an annoyance than anything else, but prior to the Firefox update I was having no problems with Google Maps.

I haven't had this problem on other browsers which is why I suspect it is an issue with Firefox. OS: Windows 7.

I'll try to check back every couple of days and give the Mozilla crew any additional information needed to help solve the problem : )

Unfortunately I don't think that will be of much help. The most recent one that started with 'bp' was in May of 2015. I don't think I have submitted reports most of the times when Firefox has crashed, but I will try to crash it later and see if I can get any crash IDs to submit to you.

I have the same problem and it has been in firefox for a long time even on different hardware platforms. What happens is that not when I first firefox but after a period of usage when I try to launch google maps it crashes. I restart and then I can use google maps but this is annoying because it is 100% reproducible and has been there for a couple of years. This has been in Linux Min versions 15 -17.x.

I have been suffering with this same problem for many months now. Mozilla Firefox crashes or forces a reload EVERY time I go to Google maps. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/ I am running 45.0.1 and Windows 7

All those crashes were caused by Trusteer Rapport. Check for an update for that application and / or disable it when you need to view Google Maps. Make sure that Flash is up-to-date - version 21.0.0.197.

That us not the problem. I see exactly the same problem but for a different reason. It occurs on all versions of Mint from the last 3 years, on Intel and AMD processors and on 3 different machines I have. If you look through the forums there are dozens if not 100s of complaints of the same. It is so bad that I tell people not to use firefox which is a shame because I think it is a good browser but failing with one of the most popular applications is unacceptable and worse yet Firefox has had dozens of releases to fix it and does nothing.

I have turned off Trusteer Rapport and ran tests. I still have to "Reload" Google maps upon initial page startup. This does *not* happen with Chrome or IE. This must be a Firefox failure. Also what difference is Flash supposed to make? It is the initial page load that fails.
