Firefox (version 45, on openSuse Leap 42) will not offer to remember my Mint.com login password even though I have Remember logins for sites checked. The remember password function works on other sites, and google-chrome offers to remember my password for the same login page at mint.com. I have cleared ALL of my history including cookies (except browsing history, which I don't want to lose). I have also started firefox in safemode, and it still did not offer to save it.

Any other ideas to try?

You're welcome

It is possible that Firefox doesn't recognize the login form because it is created via JavaScript (i.e. it is not in the page source). Firefox would normally catch a form created via JavaScript, so in this case the script might create the form in a way that Firefox doesn't notice it.

The Saved Password Editor extension doesn't identify the user name field, but did work when I entered the user name manually using the Inspector (Inspect Element) to find the input field name.

Try to use the Saved Password Editor to add the user name and password to the Password Manager.

Username field name: Email Password field name: Password.

Works as advertised!

I still wonder why Firefox does not prompt me. I have Firefox 45 installed on RHEL 7.2 on another machine, and Firefox saved my Mint password there. I wonder if I renamed/removed my .mozilla directory and reinstalled if this would fix the issue.

Still, the add on to edit any fields, pw included is a nice feature. Thanks!

I have the same problem with some sites. Then I checked something... Firefox 64 bit browser does not retain any of my saved/logon info whereas the 32 bit version does.
