I have changed the default action for PDF files from save to open in Adobe Reader at least 20 time this year and Firefox keeps changing it back to save instead of open. I am a web developer and we have so much problems that we are avoiding putting links to PDF's on our website. We constantly get reports from our customers saying the link does not work. I reply check your downloads and the PDF files are in the downloads folder. I then have them check and Firefox has it set to save. They will always respond I don't know how that got changed because it used to work. And the next time there is a Firefox update (which is often) it starts all over again. Is there a way to not have Firefox change the settings when you update or what ever it is that triggers this change from open in Adobe reader to save, it is a pain and I am about to tell all my users that I have converted to Firefox to go back to the other browser.

Sincerely Aubrey

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
