Can't fast forward on Facebook videos, the video freezes and i need to refresh and pause the video to fast forward, the play button disappears kind of.
Hi! I recently came across this issue where i can no longer fast forward/skip in Facebook videos (i have only tried uploaded videos, not live ones), when trying to fast forward the video freezes and i have to refresh. I have the latest Flash, latest Nvidia-drivers, tried to turn off hardware-acceleration, tried Firefox in "safe-mode" without any addons or so. I have cleared my cache multiple times, the issue is on both my computers.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Thank you

After "modifying" my google searches to other words etc i have found that people with Opera & Chrome are experiencing the same issue. No one really knows exactly what is behind this issue, it didn't work with chrome either for me.
Did Firefox already load the media file up to the spot where you want to go to (check the red loading bar)?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

The video loads completely on Facebook, the whole bar loads within a second or two, once i click the bar to skip ahead i get to the specific frame but the video is paused. I will try your suggestion and get back to you, thanks!
Make sure that the memory cache and disk cache are working and are large enough to store the full media file. You can check that on the about:cache page and in "Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network". If the cache isn't working properly then you may not be able to seek forward since this data is no longer available.

I have tried these solutions, still no fix as of yet. This is driving me nuts, i see people having this issue on other browsers as well, so i guess it is a Facebook issue perhaps??
You can try to set this pref to false on the about:config page.
- media.windows-media-foundation.allow-d3d11-dxva = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
