I have set Thunderbird to not send return receipts ever, but it always does. When I use the Office360 web client it successfully prevents a return receipt; but I'm used to using Thunderbird and would rather not migrate.

I have the same problem with my university account. It is an Outlook account. In the web client, I have the option to never send a return receipt selected. In Thunderbird, I have all the options set to "Ask me", although I have tried the "Never send a return receipt" as well, to see if this solves the problem. None of these works, Thunderbird will always send a return receipt from this Outlook account when a sender asks for one. Pretty bad for our privacy... Any ideas?
