So I just installed Thunderbird on a new Windows 10 PC. When I receive an email with a photo attachment the only option I have to open it is with "twinui" which is not a photo viewer. If I go to "options, attachments, incoming" there is no listing for .JPG or any other photo type. I can choose to look for a different program to open the file, but I do not know where to find the windows photo viewer. Any help is appreciated.

Thunderbird is an email client. Not a photo viewer. You can install a viewer or use the one that came with Windows. Then go to the Attachements-Incoming screen and associate the file types with the viewer software.

I do not have Win10 but a few keystrokes in Google finds this. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026268/windows-10-change-startup-apps

I read your post just fine. You said you did not know where to find Windows Photo Viewer. The real answer for Windows 10 is you don't. It is not in Win10 by default. I gave you a link on how to work Windows 10 and add apps.

JPEG must already show in Attachments Incoming or your would not be saying that you only had one choice. The Thunderbird part is finished. Add something to your operating system that opens jpegs.

Go to a Windows forum and find out how to add default apps to Win10.
