at random, firefox changes my home page
I have been using Firefox for years. Since 'upgrading' to Windows 10 (upgrade?) Firefox will randomly reset my home page to https://ca.search.yahoo.com/yhs/web?hspart=arh&hsimp=yhs-001&type=zxy_e718773f0830a73a43¶m1=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%3D¶m2=NGB6LWB8MaBbMJ%3D%3D
WTF? This happens at random at least once (maybe twice) a week?

Hi, his could be an issue caused by AdAware or Web Companion from Lavasoft. Please search Programs & Features and uninstall Web Companion if listed.
Please do the following : You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller (for more info, see this alternate TDSSKiller download page)
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
