How do I enable Private Browsing permanently?
I'm sure this question has been asked before, but this is the page that appeared when I typed my question. I have rarely used Firefox - I want to use Private Browsing permanently. I am using NordVPN as my private network and apparently it only works with private browsing. I tried to find the answer online, but the results led me to articles from 2010 and 2011. I am using Windows 10 and Firefox version 72.0

Thank you. I figured it was something simple but I didn't know where to look. You saved me much time and frustration. Be Well
NordVPN should work in normal mode and in private browsing mode, so there shouldn't be a need to use permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History). The fact that you see the purple PB mode icon next to the NordVPN extension in about:addons merely means that the extension also works in PB mode. All extensions work in regular mode and in current Firefox releases you can set for an extension whether it works in PB mode as well.
