I am helping a client switch their email platform from outlook (exchange account through GoDaddy) to google workspace (exchange account through squarespace). If the account is POP, nothing. If the account is IMAP you need to get the emails archived and restored to the gmail account. For smallish numbers this addon is adequate. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools-ng/?src=ss

Now the hundreds of thousands of email common in folks imap accounts these days you need some business mail migration tools from Microsoft or Google to facilitate the migration of mail.
