I am guessing you have a plugin or add-on that you may not expect. You have inadvertently changed something; or more likely allowed something to change Firefox. You did not manage to give full details when posting your message.

A quick Google suggests Xmarks may be some sort of bookmarking service, but I 

am not familiar with it.  Whatever Xmarks or 'non script' is it is nothing to do with the basic and ordinary use and download of firefiox. >=afaik
