I'm using Namoroka 3.6.3 on a Windows 7 professional 64bit desktop; when I try to "check for updates" (menu "help"), I get the response (after a while): "Update server not found (check your internet connection)". The link provided for a manual update leads to Firefox 32bit and is not useful. P.S: my internet connection is working fine.

All Firefox version on Windows are 32 bit versions unless you have installed a 64 bit version from other sources.
If you installed a Namoroka nightly build version of Firefox 3.6.x then that is a 32 bit version.

Cor-el, thank you for your reply and help!

I understand that there is no official 64 bit version of Firefox (or Namoroka) for Windows...

What would then be the optimal version for my setting: Windows 7 professional 64bit, desktop use? P.S: in the past I experienced some problems with Firefox 32bit and Java applets (use of memory) which motivated me to switch to Namoroka, following a recommendation of some colleagues (rather Linux afficionados indeed...).
