Sections of webpage show black
When webpages are loading, or when I scroll down a page, sections of the page appear black. I can sometimes clear this black panel by rotating up and down, the mouse wheel.
I have tried switching off hardware acceleration. I have checked fonts colours (black fonts and white background) and all drivers are up to date.
I am running Windows 8.1 and FF 25.0.

hat kind of content does appear in the black areas?
Are the specific elements like images or Flash object or also parts with text?
What do you get if you right-click such a black area and possibly open the Inspector via "Inspect Element"?
Thanks for your response.
The black areas are black only. Elements are sometimes just panels on the page and other times are a complete strip from one side of the page to the other. Sometimes, when a a google search page loads, some of the title/links are not visible but are able to be clicked on to achieve the link. The black area does not respond to a "R" click.
Try this example.
I'm having the same issue since I updated Windows 8 to W8.1.
I dunno what I did, but things came right a few days later.
Mine is doing it also, I have a windows 7 toshiba p775 laptop upgraded to windows 8, then upgraded to windows 8.1. It's annoying as heck. I have been a Firefox user for many years, without much issue. Please help. Can you explain the basic steps for saving my bookmarks and tabs, so I can uninstall and reinstall? Thanks, Dan
A similar problem, but only on Android, Samsung Galaxy SII. Sometimes a black box appears on the screen. It stays on the same location no matter what url I visit. If the phone is turned it appears at a position with the same distance from the top and the left side. Only way I have found to remove it, is to turn off the phone and restart it. I think that clicking a picture of that size in that position is what starts the problem.
