This is hardly a Firefox question. (I suppose you could be trying to look at the pictures with Firefox though.)

The first thing I notice is that you appear to be using Firefox 25. The standard Release is Firefox 26 and about to update to Firefox 27. You would appear to be using Ubuntu and will be on a canonical version of Firefox. Those do not update on the same date as the Mozilla Firefox builds but you still should not be on Firefox 25.

Presumably the camera has an internal memory card and that is accessible via a USB connection. The problem may be that the memory card is formatted to be compatible with Windows or Windows & Mac.s

  • Model of camera?
  • and have you any idea of the format of the memory card ?
  • Have you got the camera spec / manual (maybe it is online and you can provide a link)
  • Have you got a Windows or Mac device ?
    Have you tried using that to access the photos ?

Such memory cards are usually formatted as FAT32 or FAT16 and shouldn't be a problem on Linux.

If auto-mount is enabled and the camera is set up properly then you should be able to use a file manager (Dolphin, Nautilus or other) to access the memory card via an USB connection. Otherwise you would need a memory card USB adapter to read the card.

Which folder are you using for the Firefox picture files?

I was wondering if it may have been using MTP I have not discovered a method for transfering files from MTP cards to Linux
