Why is "honor" missing in spell check? We should have honor at least!
In my Thunderbird, (Linux Mint16- using American English) the word "honor" is flagged as an error. I know I can add it to my own dictionary but shouldn't "honor" be a recognized word? How/when does the spell-check dictionary get updated? How can I request that "honor" be added? Of all the things not to have in this organization, "honor" would seem to be the last. It surely cannot be that the word was omitted on purpose, can it?
I'm guessing that I don't speak any other languages well enough to check but I would be interested to know if the corresponding word is missing in other localizations. That's just curiousity but curiousity is a force to be reckoned with.
Thanks, Donn

If you right-click honor, does it suggest a British spelling instead? I agree it's a common word that should be in your dictionary; on Windows/US-English, it is not flagged as misspelled.

Upon my honour, the word is not flagged as misspelled here, also on Win 7.
You could see if it makes any difference to install this dictionary:
