Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar.. Then Tools > Options > Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.
You can check for issues caused by one of the installed and enabled extensions.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
Already tested in Safe mode - problem still exists Turned off hardware acceleration and restarted - problem stil exists Problem also exists in Google Chrome Browser I am not alone with this exact issue https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/docs/gB4Vf13ubSQ
Thank you for trying to help
Additional information CTRL-home, CTRL-end CTRL-left and CTRL-right all work exactly as expected Using the onscreen keyboard (run-osk) works as expected Using the non-numpad keys works as expected To reiterate, all these keys work fine in a non-browser application
