Hi,

How do I go about uninstalling the Wikipedia app (which keeps bugging me of updates) that I've installed from the Firefox Marketplace?

I can find the app at about:apps and in the Marketplace, but there is no possible way to uninstall it; no uninstall buttons to be found, and long-clicking the icon only causes it to be selected for copying to the clipboard. How do I go about getting rid of this app?

Came here looking for an answer to this exact issue. Wikipedia not uninstallable. I am using Firefox Beta 32.0 on Android 4.4.4. The Wikipedia app is installed as a "synthetic" app. It is also no longer available in the Marketplace for this platform. I had uninstalled the synthetic app using the normal Android app removal procedure, but it was still showing up in Firefox as installed and bugging me about updates. I decided to re-install the app from the Firefox update notification(remember it's not in the Market anymore for this platform). I then again uninstalled the app normally(via Android) and this time it was also gone from Firefox. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I do not even have that option on Firefox for Android. I do however have Tools >> Apps where the Wikipedia app is listed, but there is no way to uninstall it - not by pressing or long-pressing the icon, or by visiting the app page on the marketplace.

We've done this. This does not remove the app from the list of apps seen within Firefox: Tools >> Apps

We continue to get app update notifications from Firefox about web apps we've already removed using the steps you've listed.
