new to TB. sent a test email to 1 primary with bcc to 3 recipients (i own all accts). the primary showed up addressed properly but the bcc recipients all received emails addressed to the primary only. when i check the full header it does show the bcc address, but the email itself is addressed to the primary and not them. i've tried several ways: putting the bcc addresses all in one box (divided by colons and then semi-colons); putting the bcc addresses in separate boxes; sending thru gmail then trying verizon (my service provider). i'm preparing to do an emailing to 250 recipients this weekend.--thanks

That's exactly what is supposed to happen. Bcc'd correspondents should be anonymous.

What have you used previously, and how did that support this task?

Bcc sounds adequate to me for what you're doing. A useful trick is to invent a group name address to send it To: with all the real addressees Bcc'd. They then need to accept that a message addressed to the the group name is legitimate. I get thunderbird support team emails addressed in this way, sent To: thunderbird-support@...

Otherwise, a Mail Merge might be better suited to your needs. One message to each recipient, individually addressed.
