I have an URL pinned to the Windows taskbar by calling the Firefox.EXE with a command line parameter. I also have Firefox itself pinned to the Windows taskbar.

Every time there is a Firefox update the pinned URL gets lost, i.e. the icon in the task bar is removed. Since this does not happen with other applications pinned in the same way when they get updated, it looks like this is a Firefox and not a Windows issue.

Does anybody know a work around? Maybe there is a way to remove the write permission to this pinned item. (Unfortunately I don't know how Windows stores them.) And does anybody know how to report this as a bug to Firefox development? The support site only led me here.

BR, Wolfgang
