Using Firefox 32.0.3 on my Windows XP SP3 PC, I cannot get my bookmarks to sync with either of my Android devices, phone and tablet. They have synced in the past but I noticed new bookmarks and folders have not synced to the Android devices. I deleted the sync account 3 times and made new ones with new email addresses and still no sync. Tried manual sync on both PC and the 2 devices. I also checked the settings in about:config and they are correct. I had deleted a folder in Mobile Bookmarks on my PC and made a new one and it has not changed in my Android devices, which both have the newest updated versions of Firefox Mobile, running on Android KitKat 4.4.2. Older (but relatively recent) bookmarks are also missing on the Android devices. This seems to be a recent thing as it has been working in the past. However, after looking at the bookmarks, I can see that it has not synced them for some time. I have it set to sync bookmarks and passwords only and it used to work. I have more than 8300 bookmarks total; not sure how many in Mobile Bookmarks; maybe 200. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

  • How are you manually syncing on the two Android devices?

On the android devices, once you have competed a first complete sync to the *Desktop, how are you attaching the account? (by signing in at accounts.firefox.com, or by adding the Sync account in the Android accounts menu, or from the sync settings menu in the browser? If you try the first it will start a sync if you are connect to wifi)

How I manually sync the accounts - On Desktop, I click Tools, then Sync Now. On Android, I go to Settings, Then in the synced accounts area, choose Firefox, then "Sync Now". Nothing happens in either case. I also tried it after disabling my software firewall (Comodo Pro); still no sync.

If I understand your second question correctly, I made a new account on accounts.firefox.com; then In Desktop, I signed in to the account, then did the same in Android. Desktop said sync would begin shortly, but nothing seemed to be happening. I then tried manual sync as I described above, both on PC and Android. When that didn't work, I deleted the account and made another, doing it the same way, and it still does not work. I even left Firefox running on my PC for 24 hours and not one bookmark from my PC got on my Android devices. Firefox Sync had always worked well before, and I haven't changed anything and I'm doing it the same way as I have always done.
