I sometimes can't resize my window.
I am running Firefox 33 on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks).
I can't resize the browser window. When I hold the mouse cursor over the lower right corner, I see the resize cursor as usual, but when I drag the mouse, the window does not resize as usual.
This seems to happen at random, after the browser has been running for several hours to several days. I haven't been able to find any specific behavior that triggers it. I tried disabling all my extensions and it still happens. If I restart the browser, then I can resize the window, until it starts happening again.
If I try to enter full screen mode while this is happening, the browser looks kind of funny and doesn't fill the whole screen.
This has been happening at least since Firefox 32. It may have been happening earlier, but I can't remember for sure.
How can I prevent this from happening?

You may have a corrupt localstore.rdf file. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved
@FredMcD, I would like to clarify that this bug is not about my window size not being remembered; it is about being unable to resize the window at all. But I will try what you suggested when I get a chance.
@FredMcD, I upgraded to OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) a few days ago and I am still experiencing this problem. I still haven't fixed my localstore.rdf file but I think I will do that soon.
I reset Firefox as suggested by the page you linked to. I will let everyone know if this problem happens again.
About one day after resetting Firefox, and losing my extensions, I am experiencing the problem again.
I reported this bug to Bugzilla. It can be seen at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1091096.
